Homer is now named Bucky. He has totally settled into our house and made himself king of the couches. Right now he is snoozing next to me as I work! He is just the sweetest dog, always ready to greet you with a thump of his tail and always, always, always wanting a belly rub. He’s still learning to relax on walks around the neighborhood – he seems very hesitant when there are noises he doesn’t understand – but he loves the neighborhood kids and they always offer him a pet. He definitely loves food and likes to carry his stuffed kong proudly around the house. I think he enjoys being an only dog and getting all the attention. I don’t know what his life was like before he was rescued but he is definitely leaning into the life of a spoiled pet now!
Thank you so much for rescuing this little guy – I knew as soon as I saw his picture that he was the one for us!
