Name:   Eli Martin

Description:   ~ 3 yrs ~ 19 lb ~ fostered in Washington, DC ~

Eli is absolutely the sweetest little guy, and he is little, at a mere 19 pounds. He is getting along great with his foster siblings and is in fact best friends with the senior male, they play all the time. He does well on the leash and is close to being house trained, he just figured out the doggie door a few days ago, so accidents are minimal. This guy is a total love bug, loves to get pets and give kisses. His walk is his calling card, he actually prances, as if he's a show dog, it's the cutest thing. He is not cat tested, but did well with the one child he's met. He loves to meet and greet humans on our walks. He hasn't the saddest little howl, which means he hasn't found his voice, he's only vocal when his foster brother and sister get him started.

Eli is heartworm positive and not yet ready for an adopter. Hopefully by the end of summer he'll be ready.

Success Story:   Eli (on the left) has made a wonderful addition to our family. He is such a lovebug. He gets along great with our other dog, Buddy, who we also adopted from BRSM in July.

Eli does suffer from separation anxiety even though my husband is home most of the day. He is EXTREMELY attached to him so when he leaves the house, or we leave together, he howls & whines a lot, but we are hopeful this will settle in time as he gets more acclimated.

They make our hearts so happy.
