Other Dogs in Urgent Need of Help

Dogs listed on this page are not Beagle Rescue of Southern Maryland dogs. Some are in private homes, some are with rescues, and some are in shelters. Those dogs in shelters are eligible for rescue if we can find foster homes.

We are turning down dogs because we don't have room for them. If you've been thinking about fostering a beagle, please consider contacting us at foster@beaglemaryland.org immediately. In rescue work it's about being there --- being there in a dog's hour of need. Time is of the essence, and every time you help even just one dog, you are doing a wonderful deed.

Shelters where beagles are being put down because no one will foster/adopt them:

TriCounty Animal Shelter in Hughesville, Maryland: If you want to adopt or rescue contact TriCounty Animal Shelter in Hughesville, Maryland at 301-932-1713 or 1-800-903-1992. If you are in the DC/Baltimore area and can provide a foster home for a dog, please email us at foster@beaglemaryland.org.

Queen Anne County Shelter on Maryland's Eastern Shore: Please consider adopting from them! You'll find the shelter information at  http://www.petfinder.org/shelters/MD81.html
