Copper was a stray whose owner did not call the shelter to see if he was there. He is now ready to move on to a new life. Copper is a happy dog with much tail-wagging. He can be exuberant, but is not barky. Copper is people-oriented and also wants to meet every dog he sees. He tries to play with the cat at the foster home, but the cat hisses and says "no way". Copper likes to sunbathe in the yard, roll in the grass, chase squirrels, and eat Cheerios. His career goal is to join the circus and he can already take several steps on his hind feet. He is crate-trained and can ride quietly for several hours in the back seat of the car.

Copper says hello and thanks you for taking care of him. He is doing well and has become the boss of the house. He loves his toys and walks. He is a good napper and sleeps through the night. Copper is extremely smart and every where we go people just want to hold him because he looks like a stuffed animal. He is still a wild man but is learning to listen. He now rings a bell with his paw or nose when he wants to go out. Your dedication to beagles is greatly appreciated.
