Update from foster mom, 07/24/23: Ramsey is LOVING his walk so much. We will weigh him soon. I’m sure he’s lost some weight. Definitely moving a lot better. He’s absolutely the best dog! We love him so much. If we hadn't just adopted another dog, we would definitely keep him.

Ramsey went on a walk this morning once the rain stopped and then he followed foster Momma around to make sure I was safe. I cannot say enough good things about this dog. He is very special and will make someone very happy.

Ramsey's dad had to go into assisted living, so Ramsey needed a new home. When his daughter contacted us, she said he was a beagle mix. Hmmm. Looks pretty chihuahua-ish, but that's not a reason to deny him a spot here. He's with a wonderful foster mom who loves chihuahuas. He also told us he's ready for a diet and to get his youthful, good looks back again. He's actually looking forward to the exercise as long as it's not too hot out.

Good with dogs and cats. No idea about children. Scared of some men at first, but will warm up. If you need an exercise partner, here he is!

Success Story:   We were asked to foster Ramsey when his person had to go into assisted living. It was a hard adjustment for him. After a few weeks he started coming over to us for attention and gradually got more comfortable with us. I had surgery shortly after he got here and he was very protective of me and helped take care of me too! He was very overweight so he went on walks with our other dogs and he fit in very well with everyone. He made it clear that he was home and didn’t want to go anywhere. Ramsey is a very special dog and we are so happy to have him with us. He’s lost 4 lbs already and has so much more energy and definitely feels better.
