Betty Onslow |
Description: |
~ 2 yrs old ~ 26 lb ~ fostered in Pasadena, MD ~
Beautiful Betty has had a rough go of it in her short life. Only two and already infected with heartworm disease, she'll need a place to land while she recovers. Betty is a bit taller than your average beagle and is a willowy 26ish pounds. She's quite frightened staying in a kennel environment. It's loud and she's probably also picking up on the anxiety of the other dogs around her. When we took her outside for her photo shoot, it was clear that if we lost hold of her, she'd be off like a shot. At least at the onset in her new home, she'd probably appreciate some soft voices and quiet in general. At the moment, a home without a lot of traffic noise and sirens would be best. Respectful older children are fine - and perhaps another outgoing dog who can show her the ropes of indoor living. She will need to be leash walked with one leash on a harness and one on her collar at first. A rock solid secure fence would be preferable.
