Name:   Maddie Milford

Description:   ~ 6 yrs old ~ Fostered in Linthicum, MD ~

Maddie has been with us for about a week. Maddie is around 23 lbs but she needs to gain a pound or two. She is super loving with her people. In fact, of all our fosters, she is the only one on day 1 to ask for love and affection. She is a bit shy and she is nervous with new dogs that she meets. She wasn’t so sure about our pack of 3 but after a few days she now realizes she can hang out and sleep with them without needing to worry. It’s pretty amazing how she quickly she acclimated to them. Oh and cats! She doesn’t care! She isn’t too fond of our cat swatting at her nose for getting a little too close though. Who can blame her? She is obviously just trying to sniff a bit.

She is adjusting well. We are waiting for her to be spayed in a week but once she has that done she will be good to go! I would say she can have dog and cat roommates but she would just need a little time to adjust. She is doing well in her grasp of potty training but we don't want to jinx her.

She loves going on walks with our pack and she likes snuggling with people. Its very endearing. I’m sure the longer she is here we will learn more about her personality. She is a pro with pictures. Enjoy looking at this cutie!

Success Story:   Update from Maddie's family:

Here are some pictures of Maddie and our other dog Heidi. Maddie is so sweet and funny! She likes to jump up and sit down on your lap and give little licks. She comes to you when you call her and flops down on her back for a belly rub. She likes running around the yard and playing with Heidi and chasing squirrels and rabbits and of course she loves to eat. She sleeps in her bed, and sometimes in Heidi's, in our room at night. Many thanks to Sarah and Cindy for bringing her to our house and doing such a great job introducing Maddie to Heidi!
