At 22 lbs, Lemon is a petite 3 year old sweetheart of a beagle who loves to be with her people. She is a world-class snuggler who will curl up on your lap the minute you sit down. Lemon loves to go walking and expresses her joy by yodeling as she walks. She is anxious when she first meets people but once she gets to know them does very well. Lemon's perfect forever home would be a dog-centric one in which an adult or older teen human is almost always home. Lemon does OK with other dogs, but would be happiest as an only dog who gets all of her family's attention. Small children and cats are NOT recommended for Ms. Lemon. Lemon does well in a car IF you let her ride shotgun...she likes to keep an eye on the road with you. Lemon is an adorable little companion who will provide lots of love and entertainment for the right person or family.

Lemon has completely stolen our hearts! After we lost our BlueTick Hound in March, we were so sad. We really thought that was it for us having a furbaby. But the months passed and we had a hole to fill. My husband, Andre, said how about a beagle? And the hunt was on! Lemon is actually the first pup I saw on the rescue page. Days went by, we discussed and debated, and finally I got to meet her! It was an instant match. Two days later she came home with us, took over all the furniture, made us laugh harder than we have in a long time, and even allows us to sleep in the bed with her!! She is so perfect, listens so well, totally house trained, we are truly lucky. Rescues are the best ! And Lemon is ours!!
