We are so excited that Anna has found a place within our rescue! Her first 11 years have not been kind. She's thin and is heartworm positive. When a foster came forward willing to take on a dog with challenges, we were over the moon! Anna arrived just yesterday (5/18/21) and after some initial trepidation, started to make herself at home. She likes her two foster siblings (and more importantly, they like her!) and even found some toys she liked in the toybox! She found the soft bed to her liking and we're pretty sure she's going to be a big fan of climate controlled living with hot weather on the horizon. She's curious and has a surprising amount of energy, chasing after the other dogs.

Anna will begin her heartworm treatment in July (Covid has wreaked havoc on getting timely vet appointments!) and until then will be learning to live the life of a pampered house pet. Stay tuned.
