ELLE UPDATE 10/5/18: Meet Ellie! She’s full of love and energy. Ellie lives to please her people, and has likely had formal training in the past (as she responds to sit and stay commands and the corresponding hand motions). She loves to play, and if nobody is available to play with her, she can entertain herself with squeaky toys for hours. She loves attention and will start wagging her tail if you even glance in her direction. She is housebroken and crate-trained. She can also be left out of the crate without causing any harm. She has impeccable manners inside the house, and, oddly, does not seem to shed much at all. Outside the house, Ellie is working on not pulling on her leash and becoming better socialized with other dogs. As she is quite strong, this is essential. Ellie would thrive in a home with older, active children, a large yard and plenty of snuggles. Ellie currently lives in the District and would be happier with fewer cars and more squirrels that she can chase to her heart's content.

Elle is a 4 yr. old Beagle mix (Beagle and Basset). She is great with kids and loves to play. Elle hasn’t lived with other dogs, but she gets along well with cats. She is crate and house trained. Ellie walks pretty well on a leash and has been honing her skills with the help of a gentle lead. Elle would love a yard to run in and someone who will give her lots of playtime. She has all the loving qualities of a hound.
