Name:   Marney

Description:

Success Story:   Hi. I'm Marney and I'm very "marneyish." Marneyish has to do with being the most intelligent beagle ever to do dumb things like sleeping at the top of the stairs. So obedient, I do business outside in pouring rain. So disobedient I recently opened the zipper on my mother's backpack and ate her Chinese takeout. It was very good. Marneyish is being the most shy and cooperative animal except when I choose to growl to get my way. I just have a distinctive way of doing things that mom calls marneyish.

My previous foster mom took me to adoption days where I hid under her chair. I was shy and fat. Nobody adopted me. My new foster mom continued my diet and walked me with her other beagles. One Saturday morning she slept in past dog-feeding time. How could she! We beagles set off a terrific commotion to get her up. Somehow I hurt my neck. People doubted I would survive. A couple months later I sat on my haunches to beg and fell over on my back but wasn't hurt. In marneyish fashion I showed I had recovered.

While I was injured and pitiful I became so attached to my foster mom that the only way she could respond was to adopt me. Now I'm one of her five beagles, at 23 pounds the biggest and I know it. I go for walks, sleep on her bed, warm myself by the propane fireplace and ride in her car. I love to romp in the yard and roll on my back. Thank you to BRSM for finding me a home.
