Name:   Jamie George (now Baciagaloop)

Description:   ~ 8 yrs old ~ 25 lbs ~ Fostered in Woodbridge, VA ~
Sweet Jamie came into a Maryland shelter back in the fall of 2017 with a bulging disc in his neck. He was just such a sweetheart that one of the employees contacted us to see if we could save him. She agreed to foster him through his convalescence. It was originally thought that Jamie would need surgery, but a couple of courses of Prednisone and crate rest has made a world of difference. Jamie now walks normally and without pain. Unfortunately for Jamie, his foster home has other dogs, one of whom has developed a distinct dislike of Jamie - and for Jamie's own safety, finds himself stuck in a crate most of the time. We really need to find Jamie another foster home so that he can walk freely without fear of being ambushed.

Jamie is very, very sweet. He's a gentle guy who is wonderful with gentle children. He is housebroken (we think) and is pleasant company. We cannot place him in a home with rough play as there remains the possibility of his neck pain flaring up again. For now, he is off all meds and we'd like to keep it that way. If you can foster or would like to adopt Jamie, please contact icanhelp@beaglemaryland.org.
