Name:   Paulie Williams

Description:   ~ 28 lb ~ 7 yrs old ~ fostered in Reston, VA ~

Paulie, a beagle mix, came into our foster care in October 2016. He is a neutered male weighing approximately 28 pounds and is now about 5-7 years old and is up to date on all shots. He was recently treated for heart worm. He is a resilient dog with the happiest personality you ever saw.

Paulie is playful and loves a good romp around day care with his buddies. He also enjoys a good nap once he’s gotten his energy out. He enjoys playing with toys and is very inquisitive and interested in his surroundings. He gets along great with both humans and other dogs. He is submissive and would do well either as a single dog or in a multi-dog household.

Paulie really loves human affection and enjoys having his little belly rubbed. He also loves to give his humans loving affection in return. He will be your best friend for a treat any time of the day.

He is smart and, typical to the beagle breed, a bit of an escape artist. He has been having regular potty breaks at Healthy Hound but will need just a bit of potty training in a new home environment – he is almost there. Paulie does well in a crate/kennel and will sleep through the night.

If you are looking for a loving companion to be your true friend, you will be very lucky to have this guy come be a part of your family.

Success Story:   My boyfriend and I absolutely adore Paulie. I first met him last December when I began working at Healthy Hound Playground where he was fostering, and I fell in love with him. Every time I would be in the playroom with him he would always come to me and jump up, lick my hands and face and try to climb into my arms, and every day I worked I would come see him even if I wasn't scheduled in the playroom he was in. I had another dog at the time, a beagle named Ginger, so I wasn't able to take him then. Unfortunately, Ginger passed away in February, and after I mourned for a little while, I knew that it was going to be the right choice for me to take Paulie - for both of us. I started fostering him shortly after, and he was the best. Even as an older dog, he had so much spunk and energy, and nothing could seem to slow him down. He's very smart - sometimes! - and has even learned a few tricks in the months I've fostered him. We are so delighted that we can finally call him officially ours! As you can see, he loves naps and looking out the window, waiting for us to come home. He loves us just as much as we love him, and we're looking forward to giving him a fantastic, long, loving life.

Thank you so much for your time and all the work that you do. Thank you for this opportunity to find the dog of my dreams, a dog that fits so snugly in my heart I don't know what I would do without him. Thank you!
