Name:   Amos Garrett (now Peanut)

Description:   ~ 9 yrs old ~ 20 lbs ~ fostered in Columbia, MD ~

For a little guy of nine years Amos sure has a fun and playful disposition. He warmed up to his new foster home within about 30 minutes, getting acquainted with the resident beagles in no time at all. He gets along great with other dogs and is just as happy running around the back yard as he is curling up on the couch for a snooze. He has even gotten the chance to play with the neighboring children and he did absolutely great while they pet him and held him.

At 20 pounds, he is certainly one of the smallest beagles you'll ever meet. He has no problem being scooped up for hugs and cuddles. Watch out though, he will certainly test your fences for the smallest of openings.

Amos is a little bit vocal, especially towards the dogs and people in neighboring yards. We are working on that and he does seem to be getting better as he becomes more comfortable in his surroundings.

So far he has shown that he is crate trained and hasn't had a single accident yet in the house (knock on wood). He is learning to be more focused when walking on a leash. He has shown zero aggression towards anything or anyone, even during feeding time.

Overall, Amos is a delightfully playful little guy. He would make a great companion. He is just as sweet as he is tiny.
