These pups had a rough start in life, born to a stray dog and found running around a Lowe's parking lot at 9 weeks. They weren't able to catch the mom but at least her puppies are safe. They're now about 3.5 to 4 months old. We kept them a little longer than we normally do, just to make sure they are well-socialized. They are now typical puppies. The girls are feisty and the boy is mellow. In fact, his foster mom states that he is the most mellow beagle puppy I ever had, but also a real lover for sure. They are piranhas at treat time but other than that, perfect. Possibly, the snack time behavior is because they have to wait while everyone gets a turn and they think they will miss out.

It's hard to look past the cuteness of any puppy, but rest assured that adopting a youngster is not for the faint of heart. Before he reaches his first birthday he will eat your sofa, pee on your Persian rug (multiple times), and turn your yard into a lunar landscape. It's hard not to be sucked in by the cute factor, but please give careful consideration to whether you are up to the challenge a puppy will impose on your home for the next several months. They require as much diligence as a human baby to keep them out of harm's way - as well as keeping your belongings out of harm's way. Puppies require loving patience (never physical discipline) as they learn what is acceptable behavior and what is not. He will not always be young, healthy and cute. He will one day be gray around his eyes, may limp with arthritis and need long term medications. He needs a home that will be committed to him for his ENTIRE life - which will likely be 14-15 years or more.

Preference will be given to those with puppy experience, and we discourage the placement of puppies in apartments due to the noise and activity level of young dogs. Your neighbors will thank us.

Success Story:   Georgio is all puppy, doing the typical puppy things, playing, napping, chewing, nipping, and does the deeds in house. He thinks the back yard is for playing and walks are meet and greet exercises, and has gained 4 lbs and grown an each in a week. He is the talk of the neighborhood and our family.

Georgio has brought joy and laughter into our lives at a time when we needed it most, and he seems to love us as much as we love him.
