Name:   Trixie Love

Description:   Now Adopted

Success Story:   "I’m on the back porch of my new home with chocolate beagle June. June used to be the “little one” before I came along. I’m even smaller. "

Adopted 5/21/11> From her new "mom:"

Trixie Love adopted me when I visited Mara’s house. She blended into my beagle pack as though she had always been with them. She wandered in my car, making herself at home. The message was clear that she wanted to be taken home.

Trixie Love likes looking out the front window as she did at Mara’s house. I put a footstool by the window to oblige. When I leave she is sitting on it watching me.

Trixie Love has the longest tail and shortest legs in the house. We think she is a Dachshund-Beagle mix. But lest you think she is not a beagle, she can howl like a whole beagle pack.

Trixie Love is a very good sport. In the first month of adoption that she so eagerly awaited, we were stranded in the car overnight in a thunderstorm on the way home from Mara’s house. Power and air conditioning were out for five days in my Alabama home. She had surgery for a hernia and spent two long weeks in a cone.

Even after all that she is still a love. She wants petting and tummy rubs. She goes for walks with her pack, tail in the air and nose in the ground. She is happy with her pack and affectionate to her people. I am very happy to provide her with a home.
