Name:   Louisa (now Lucy)

Description:   When our beloved Sammy (Samuel at BRSM) passed away in June 2010, we wanted to honor his memory, so we decided to be a foster home for BRSM. About a month after Sammy passed away, we along with our other beagle Stella, visited Mara to see who would be the best fit for us and our old girl Stella. While we wanted to take all of the beagles home that we me that day, we chose to bring Lucy home with us. Not only did she jump on Kevin just like Sammy did when we met him the first time, but she resembled him a lot. Looking back on it now, having her join our family was a blessing; she helped me a lot as I grieved for Sammy and also was comforting to Stella who had always had a sibling. Lucy also quickly became daddy's girl and playmate. Lucy can be stubborn at times, and very jealous of her daddy, but overall she has a great personality and keeps us on our toes! Our home would not be the same without her. :)

Success Story:   Mar, 2013: Wanted to share some good news about Lucy (Louisa). She passed her screening to be a therapy dog with Pets on Wheels! She is very excited to start doing what she does best, receiving lots of belly rubs. :)
