Name:   Billy August

Description:

Success Story:   Adopted 9/10

An update from Billy's moms on 8/19/12:
Billy started attending deaf-blind day program for people a bit over month ago and I heard that the mobility instructor happened to be present when Billy was at the day program doing the mobility training. The instructor recommended to have Billy guide 2 deaf-blind individuals with a cane. Billy helped both individuals by placing the leash into both individual's arms, allowing Billy to pull them and let them train with the cane. It was successful. So, Sarah and I are thinking about having him going for CDI test to see if he can be a therapy dog. We have not gone through the process yet.

Also, Billy has his own personal website at Dogster. Click here to see Billy's website

On April 22, 2011, we received the following note from Billy's new mom:
"I wanted to send an update on Billy August. We adopted him in September 2010. His name is still Billy, because otherwise, we would have come up with a better name to rhyme with Silly :-).

Billy has really adjusted well to our 2 human, 2 beagle home. He now has two older sisters that he loves hanging around. He has become particularly attached to our oldest beagle, Trudy. He loves snuggling with her.

He was a bit shy at first, but now he has really blossomed into a young adult beagle who loves exploring. We are thrilled to have him. He is as sweet as can be and we think he's a great snuggler too :-)"
