~ 1 yr old ~ 24 lb ~ fostered in Hagerstown, MD ~
Hi Everybody! My name is Annie and I’m a fun-loving and adorable beagle gal. I’m a little shy at first but will quickly open up to show my sweet and playful nature once I know you are a friend. I want to please my people and am learning quickly what’s expected in the house. I know “sit” and will wait patiently for my kibble and take treats gently.
Foster mama says I take redirection very well for a young beagle and that I will be easily trainable.I love car rides and will settle down quickly and even nap when we’re on the road. Sometimes I get nervous when I’m walking on leash and will pancake, but I just need help to build my confidence so I know I can explore the world safely. Foster mama said I seem housebroken and that I’m doing really well about going potty the minute I’m let outside.
I live with two cat companions and a senior dog in my foster home, and I get along great with all of them. I loooove the cats! I don’t chase them, but I will try to follow them to see what they’re up to. Since the doggo is older, he can’t keep up with my puppy antics, so I entertain myself with zoomies, squirrel-chasing, and bunny-watching when we’re outside in the yard. Sometimes I’ll lie next to him for company while he’s sunbathing.
I love stuffies and will always take one outside with me.When I find my fur ever family, I hope they have an endless supply of stuffies because, as much as I love them, I also destroy them! While I really like running around and sniffing in the yard, I also enjoy puzzle toys and chews and will stay in my crate quietly once I have something in there to keep me occupied for a while. I sleep through the night in my crate, and also rest in there while foster mama is working from home. I can also snuggle up with a blanket on the couch in the living roomor one of the many doggie beds throughout the house.
Please ask to meet me! I love people and get along great with other dogs and cats. My mission in life is to make people smile and collect all the pets as reward. I would love a home with people who will cuddle me and include me in their activities as pleasing my caretakers is my goal!
