This poor girl is so scared... We get in many dogs who are scared, but recent events in Celie's life have exceeded the norm with her having to be evacuated from her temporary foster home due to fire with the accompanying fire and police sirens, smoke and lots of shouting. Mercifully she only needed to stay one night at our vet with all of the noise that is generated there, as well. When taken outside for her photo shoot, we couldn't even get her to stand up! Still, she was submissive and sweet and tolerated us handling her very well. We really, REALLY wanted to get her some place quiet and tell her that her life was about to get a whole lot better.

Celie is a little bit overweight and for her health we'd love to see her in a home where her family will be mindful of not over indulging in edible "love." Celie is friendly with other dogs and she'd probably love to have a companion dog.
