Lucy and Bruce are a bonded pair who have been through an awful lot together (heartworm disease included) . They were caught up in the epicenter of Hurricane Florence and through all of that trauma, still managed to stay together. They will cry if separated from one another.

These two are super sweet dogs who have been nurtured through all of this by a fantastic foster who got them acclimated to indoor living and saw them through their heartworm treatment. They are now ready to find their forever home, but we will not allow them to be adopted separately. They are still quite young with lots of energy - and Bruce can be vocal, so apartment living is not an option. They are good with other dogs and good with children. They are mostly housebroken, but new situations can be stressful at first, so may backslide until they are used to the new normal.
