Name:   Lacy Lenoir
Description:   ~ 2 yrs old ~ Fostered in Catonsville, MD ~

Lacy is a super sweet two year old girl whose string of bad luck has come to an end. Lacy, a southern belle from North Carolina, was seized in a cruelty case with an untreated badly broken leg and lacerations on her face, having been kept outside in sub freezing temperatures without adequate shelter, food, or water. Her injuries were most likely caused by a run in with a car. She had a litter of puppies who have all been rescued and adopted through another organization. As if all this wasn't enough, Lacy is also heartworm positive, and will be treated once her injuries are healed.

Having suffered all of this you'd think she would be a wreck, but Lacy has stunned her foster family with her perfect house manners and sweet disposition. Although she is somewhat fearful, Lacy is eager to love and prefers to have company, either human or dog, most of the day. She is curious about cats, and if the cats are moving fast, she will chase them, bum leg or no. Lacy has had surgery to save her leg and is on the mend. If you care to share a few dollars to help pay for her surgery, please use any of the Donate buttons on our website. Lacy would sure appreciate it, and so would we!

Once her leg is healed, we have to treat her for heartworm. That will mean about 6 weeks of minimal activity. No running in the yard - leash walking only.

Lacy is such a sweetie. She's a bit barky outside and has destroyed about 30 plush toys inside. She loves big bones and hooves to chew on (she's at that stage.)
