Gretchen came into our foster care in October 2017. She is spayed female weighing approximately 35 pounds and is approximately 2 years old. Gretchen has a very sweet, loving and charismatic personality. She has a huge appetite for food, fun and playtime. She thinks of herself as a large lapdog and will lay and rest with you as long as you will let her. Gretchen would likely do well with kids and will do well in a home with other dogs and possibly cats. She doesn’t seem to be very alpha but can be protective of her humans. She is a bit of a puller on walks and may do well with some leash training.

Gretchen is smart and seems to be able to learn commands quickly. She will likely enjoy running around outdoors, chasing squirrels, and may be bit of an escape artist. She has been having regular potty breaks at Healthy Hound but will need some potty training in a new home environment. She is crate trained.

If you are bringing Gretchen into a home as a second dog, intros should be done so that she knows she is second in line and preference should be given to the first dog until there are established pack rules. It may take some time for the order to be established or it may happen right away.

If you are looking for a loving companion to be your true friend, you will be very lucky to have this lady come be a part of your family.
