Name:   Ladybug Nash
Description:   ~ 8 months old ~ 21 lb ~ Fostered in Baltimore, MD ~

Ladybug, Lola and Lewie, all hound mixes were surrendered by their owner to a kill shelter. We don't know why, but experience tells us that there doesn't have to be a good reason. Ladybug is a typical puppy, all squiggles and wiggles and delight at a friendly human. As most puppies are (particularly from her background) she has had no training to this point and will need gentle and patient positive reinforcement for good behavior rather than physical punishment for bad. Life with any puppy is challenging. They need frequent potty breaks, may chew and will undoubtedly jump. With patient training the behavior is temporary and Ladybug will become a loving companion. Right now she has energy to burn and is not a great candidate for apartment or condo dwellers. She would undoubtedly like another playful dog or playful children. A securely fenced yard is a definite plus as those long legs were born to run. If you're a runner yourself, she may be just the companion you're looking for.

If you are up to the challenge of raising a puppy and would like to offer Ladybug a permanent and loving home, please contact icanhelp@beaglemaryland.org.
