Name:   Sunshine Baltimore
Description:   ~ 6 yrs ~ 42 lb ~ fostered in Fredericksburg, VA ~

After 6 years, Sunshine's family decided they didn't want her anymore and took her to the shelter. Fortunately it was a shelter that worked very hard to get this sweet thing into rescue. Sunshine is an easy girl - and we mean that in the best possible way. She's laid back, occasionally playing with the pack, but just as happy on the sidelines watching the action. She settled into her foster home with very little drama. She was well fed in her previous life and her foster mom has her on a healthy diet supplemented with walks. Progress is slow, but steady. Sunshine's forever family will need to keep her on a high quality food. Sunshine likes her walks and does well on lead, but will occasionally pull when she gets wind of an enticing smell. She likes stuffed toys, but doesn't care for the crate - and will let you know. Her foster mom says, "She is kind of an old soul and seems to prefer an environment with a reasonably quiet activity level. " Older kids who would be gentle with her would be fine, but the noise and activity level of little ones would probably stress her out.

If you're looking for a quiet, lower energy companion, Sunshine may be just what you're got in mind. We would like to see her in a home where getting and keeping her to a healthy weight will be a priority. That would mean regular walks and a high end diet. Sunshine appears to be housebroken.
